Precept is looking for a fullstack web developer with React / Redux experience for an initial 6-7 months project funded by Google Digital News Initiative, extendable afterwards depending on conditions. The position can be full-time or part-time (30 hours) depending on the candidate.
You will be in charge of setting up and developing memeCheck, Precept’s upcoming web application against visual disinformation, and of its integration with Precept’s other platforms.
You will work under the supervision of Precept’s CTO but will have a great deal of responsibility and be able and prepared to work autonomously.
Establish architectural principles together with the CTO and use them to build the prototype of our new platform
Work with other team members to prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
Integrate Precept’s data scientist work in the API as microservices
Integrate memeCheck with Precept’s other application
3+ years professional software development experience
Experience developing apps with React/Redux
Experience with designing, implementing & deploying microservices architectures
Experience with serverless functions
A good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
Good to have
Docker, NodeJs, Graph Databases, experience with Google Cloud Platform, redux-sagas, immutableJS.
Demonstrable experience in setting up new projects from design to deployment is a plus.
